Bishop Robert McKinstry
Our Pastor, Bishop Robert McKinstry holds many titles all of which are renowned.
Bishop Robert McKinstry is the 7th of 13 sons and 1 daughter born to Mr. & Mrs. Temp McKinstry in Aliceville, Alabama. He is the caring husband of one wife (Frankie) which was his high school sweetheart, the loving father of two daughters (Joyce and Chanda), and the giving grandfather of two darling grandchildren (Victoria and Robert Catchings).
Bishop Robert McKinstry was introduced to Holiness by his sister-in-law, the late Angie Conner and was baptized in Jesus’ Name on October 5, 1975; he received the Gift of the Holy Ghost nine (9) days later. His wife, Frankie and daughters, Joyce and Chanda were also baptized in Jesus’ name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost fulfilling the scripture in Acts 2:38.
Bishop McKinstry’s first experience of Divine healing was when he was instantaneously healed of a stomach ulcer that he suffered from for several years prior to his being saved, which urged him to seek more of God.
His love for the Lord, commitment to God and the Victory Apostolic Faith Church caused him to be elevated in the Service of Christ. He has held the office of Victory’s Deacon, Brotherhood Chairman, Assistant Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, Licensed Minister, 2nd Assistant, Assistant, and Associate Pastor; Church’s General Treasurer, Trustee, Vice Chairman of the Trustee Board, A Member of “The Executive Board of Directors” of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith Association., Inc.
He currently holds the offices of an Licensed and Ordained District Elder, Senior Pastor of “Victory Orthodox Apostolic Faith Church, Governing Pastor of” Victory Apostolic Church #2 in Starkville, MS, Victory Apostolic Faith Church #4 in Gary, IN, Victory Apostolic Faith Church in Ft. Wayne, IN, Assistant Chairman of Illinois State Council of PCAF, and a member of United Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees.
His love for God also gave him a hunger to learn more about God’s word, so he enrolled in the
Midwest Apostolic Bible College to further his studies. In addition to his studies at Midwest, he
also attended Emmaus Bible College and has been instrumental in having a satellite class set up
at the Victory Church and coordinating a Systematic Bible Study Class for all of those that desire
to know more about God and His Word. He was inducted into “Marquis Who’s Who in Religion,
1992-1993 4th edition, and was the first Afro-America to hold the office of Chaplain for Local
3069 United Steelworkers of America, District #7, Sub-District #5, serving North-West Indiana
and the Chicago Illinois areas.
Bishop McKinstry is a graduate of Institute of Degree Studies (Republic Engineer Institute) of
Scranton, Pennsylvania where he graduated as a Certified Industrial Electrician Journeyman.
He also attended Ivy Tech College, Harnischfeger Institute, Leadership Academy, America Real
Estate School, and Computer Education Institute. He is currently a holder of the United Steel
Worker’s Certified Industrial Electrician Journeyman’s Certification Card. He is a retired Industrial Electrician of Republic Engineering Technology, Inc., where he worked for 34 years and 8 months of his life and still remained faithful to the house of God.
